// android developer

Robert Stanić

I build Android apps in Kotlin — fast, offline-friendly and pleasant to use. Currently deep in Jetpack Compose and clean architecture.

Things I've shipped

Apps and side projects I built end to end — from architecture to Play Store release.

  • Play Store

    Macrofy

    A calorie and macro tracker with a 1.9M-food database, barcode scanning and an AI scanner that reads a meal straight off a photo. I built it end to end — the Compose app, the FastAPI backend, and the whole billing pipeline, down to server-side receipt verification and automatic handling of renewals and refunds.

    SplitSnap

    Point it at a restaurant receipt and it splits the bill for you. On-device OCR pulls out the line items, you tap each one onto whoever ate it, and everybody walks away with a payment QR code — generated for 15+ banking systems. No account to create, and no server holding anyone's receipts.

    Root and Ruin

    A farming game about bringing a Slavonian village back to life. You inherit your grandmother's crumbling house, work the fields season by season, and push into the old oak forest beyond them — where the creatures from the stories she used to tell are still waiting. Built in Godot 4.

// about

About me

I'm an Android developer based in Croatia. I like turning rough ideas into apps people actually keep on their home screen — which usually means caring about startup time, offline behaviour and the small interaction details as much as about the architecture diagram.

Most of what I build, I build end to end: the Compose UI, the architecture underneath it, the FastAPI backend when there needs to be one, and the Play Console release at the far end. Macrofy taught me the unglamorous half of shipping — receipt verification, refund reconciliation, and exactly what an expired domain looks like from a user's side.

I'm self-taught, and deliberately so: I'd rather be properly good at one thing than passable at several, so I spent two years going deep on Android before I shipped anything publicly. My brother has been an Android developer for twelve years, which meant I learned how the work is actually done rather than how tutorials do it — and that shows up most in the parts nobody demos: the architecture, and everything that happens after release.

These days I'm an Android developer at Medical Intertrade, and still building at Encrypt, where I've worked since 2024 across Compose apps, Ktor backends and Kotlin Multiplatform. The apps above are mine, built outside that.
